Honour Lane Shipping Limited (Hong Kong) has once again been awarded the Hong Kong Green Organization Certification (HKGO) by the Environmental Campaign Committee and the Environment and Ecology Bureau.

This recognition reflects our continued commitment to environmental sustainability and responsible business practices. Across our office, colleagues actively integrate environmentally friendly habits into their daily work and lifestyles — reducing energy consumption, minimizing waste, and supporting sustainable operations.

We believe that small, consistent actions can create meaningful impact. Through these efforts, we hope to inspire broader participation in environmental protection within both our organization and the community.

On 11 Apr, Xiamen branch donated a batch of unused computer equipment to Tongxin School, giving these idle resources a new lease on life. The equipment included: 12 laptops, 1 UPS, 11 desktop computers, 21 monitors, 1 printer, and 2 water dispensers.

Although these equipment was no longer sufficient for office work needs, but after IT refurbishment and testing, some functions remained intact, allowing it to still meet basic teaching and living needs. Rather than letting the equipment sit idle and become obsolete, it was better to send it to where it was most needed, reducing electronic waste and contributing to education.

The head of Tongxin School expressed deep gratitude for this special gift. This equipment will be used to improve office conditions and the teaching environment, allowing rural children to enjoy better educational resources.

Although it was a small donation, it was of profound significance. This donation not only extended the lifespan of the equipment and achieved resource recycling, but also conveyed the concept of green environmental protection, while providing children with better learning resources.  

Since 2007, "Earth Hour" has become the world's most representative environmental action. Honor Lane not only supports but also continuously promotes this activity to all colleagues and branches. Don't underestimate this short hour; it's not just a simple lights-out ceremony, but a nationwide carbon reduction campaign. It aims to raise awareness of ecology and environmental protection, and to increase people's consciousness of environmental protection and energy conservation and carbon reduction in daily life.

On 11 Mar, Qingdao office organized employee representatives from various departments to participate in a tree-nurturing and maintenance activity at Beiling Mountain, jointly organized by the Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Parks and Forestry and the Qingdao Municipal Greening Committee Office, putting the concept of green development into practice.

This public welfare activity not only beautified the mountain forest ecosystem but also further enhanced employees' ecological and environmental awareness, and encouraged more people to participate in the protection and greening of the environment. The event was also publicized and reported by local Qingdao news media, fully demonstrating Hongan's corporate responsibility in proactively fulfilling its social responsibilities, actively participating in ecological environmental protection, and contributing to sustainable social development.

A year later, Honour Lane Shenzhen branch revisited the greenway in Shenzhen Fairy Lake Botanical Garden. Compared to the 2024, colleagues noticed a significant reduction in litter not belonging to the area. Whether this was due to their previous clean-up efforts or increased environmental awareness is unknown, but no matter what reason, any reduction in ecological pollution is gratifying.  

15 November 2025, HLSPH held an environmental clean-up drive at Luzoy Beach Resort in Bauan. The activity aimed to promote environmental awareness and to help prevent and significantly reduce marine pollution of all kinds – particular those originating from land-based activities, including marine debris and nutrient pollution.

Upon arrival, the team was given a brief orientation on safety guidelines and proper waste segregation. Participants were grouped and assigned different sections of the shoreline and nearby common areas for a more organized clean-up. Armed with glove and garbage bags, everyone worked together to collect trash such as plastic bottles, food wrappers, and other debris washed ashore.

The activity not only strengthened teamwork but also reinforced the importance of caring for and preserving our environment. After the clean-up, all collected waste was properly sorted and turned over to the resort’s designated waste management facility.

This clean-up drive serves as a reminder that small actions, when done collectively, can make a meaningful impact in preserving our coastal ecosystems. Our team looks forward to continuing similar sustainability efforts in the future.

March 12th is China’s Tree Planting Day, during this month, offices across HLS group participated the tree planting activity enthusiastically. We hope to contribute to environmental protection and ecology through tree planting, while also enhancing the public's awareness of environmental protection.  

During the Chinese New Year, the traditional custom is to "give out Lai See" to relatives and friends to express blessings, but according to published figures, Hong Kong people use about 300 million Lai See packets every year during this festival. In order to enhance the concept of reducing waste during festivals among colleagues, this year Honour Lane Hong Kong participated in the Lai See packet recycling activity of a local paper beverage box recycling pulp factory. The organization will make the collected Lai See packets into recycled pulp and make a variety of recycled paper products to practice the concept of resource recycling.

On 19 May 2024, Honour Lane Shenzhen Office held the ' Mangrove Ecological Park Visit and Learning Activity'. This event aims to understand what is a mangrove? What is wetland protection? Through the learning of a series of environmental protection knowledge such as the important role mangroves play in soil consolidation, sand prevention, and mitigation of global climate change, we will promote and strengthen everyone's awareness of environmental protection. The "Mangrove Ecological Park" is currently open to the public as an outdoor ecological park + popular science exhibition hall. The exhibition shows us the historical significance of the "Mangrove Ecological Park" and the close relationship between environmental protection, humans and the environment. Colleagues were very enthusiastic about this visit and learning activity. While enjoying the environment of the park, they also learned relevant knowledge about the mangrove ecological park with their children, giving everyone a deeper understanding of environmental protection.

On May 18, Honour Lane Xiamen Branch held its first ESG event. This event aims to convey the concept of environmental protection through our practical actions and jointly protect our beautiful home.
Colleagues used their weekends to bring their families and cleaning tools going to the Confucius Temple to clean up garbage.During the event, everyone showed their teamwork spirit and worked closely together.Through this activity, we not only purified the environment, but also gained more insights.We deeply realize the importance of environmental protection.When everyone takes action can we protect our beautiful earth together. At the same time, the activities also enhanced the friendship and trust among colleagues and brought us closer.In the future, we will continue to uphold the ESG concept and actively participate in various environmental protection activities and social welfare undertakings.We hope that through our efforts, we can make more contributions to society and make our home better.Let us join hands to create a green future!
